FACE’S MUSIC PARTY | NICK JR.
In 2022, I designed and directed two music videos for Nick Jr.’s new series Face’s Music Party, reimagining classic children’s songs with contemporary musical artists: Ants Go Marching and The Circle Game.
My music video for Ants Go marching was featured on Cartoon Brew.

THUMBNAILS & EARLY CONCEPT ART
I always start off the storyboarding process with loose thumbnails, to have a ‘not so precious’ approach to finding the story and best visual compositions. In this project, I also added color, as a way of sketching out the overall look, ahead of my design process.
ART DIRECTION
For the final design, we ended up with a slightly more fantastical, colorful rendering of the ants and the world.
ANIMATION PROCESS
It was a joy to explore this diminutive world of charm and dancing. I was happy to have the freedom to incorporate some abstraction and unconventional perspectives to accompany this song.
